James Greene, trainee solicitor with Elliott Duffy Garrett, is dedicating this St Patrick’s weekend to running 50km in New York to raise money for the Kevin Bell Repatriation Trust. James has devised the route for his ultramarathon himself and it starts at Woodside, Queens, where he lived for a time, and finishes at the memorial bench dedicated to Kevin Bell at Rory Dolan’s Bar in Woodlawn, the Bronx, which is the neighbourhood where Kevin lived.
KBRT is a charity which has, since 2013, helped over 2000 bereaved families across the island of Ireland with the emotional and financial hardship associated with bringing home the body of a loved one who has died suddenly or tragically while abroad. The charity is close to James’ heart and is also EDG’s charity partner for 2025.
James’ friends and colleagues at EDG are in awe of James’ dedication to and careful preparation for his ultramarathon. We all wish him the very best of luck!
